The American entrepreneur Rejects Tottenham Hotspur Acquisition Offer After Approach

The former chairman managed Tottenham's transition to the state-of-the-art venue in the year 2019.

American tech entrepreneur Brooklyn Earick has ruled out launching a buyout proposal for Spurs.

Spurs had earlier “clearly turned down” an informal expression of interest from a syndicate led by Brooklyn Earick last month and insisted the organization was unavailable for purchase.

However UK takeover and merger rules dictated that, following an informal proposal rejected, Earick's consortium needed to make an offer by the October deadline or state they would not proceed.

Verification of the choice was made in a release issued by Spurs to the stock exchange, confirming the team is “not in an acquisition window.”

The entrepreneur published an image of the statement on digital channels, remarking: “It's been a privilege interacting with the club and the Lewis family's representatives over the past few months.

“I have high regard for the club, its executives, and its fans, and hope for nothing but success.”

The club's board expressed gratitude to the syndicate for its “positive engagement” in discussions and for “respecting the definitive view” of the proprietors that the club is off the market.

Earick is a one-time music presenter who also worked in aerospace studies for Nasa before establishing the innovation company, which concentrates on technology, media, sport and leisure.

His approach was the third inquiry declined by the team's directors since the unexpected exit of top executive the former chairman in September.

In early fall, the club turned down offers from former Newcastle United shareholder Amanda Staveley's PCP International and a group headed by Roger Kennedy and the co-investor through Firehawk Holdings Limited.

Daniel Levy and his household hold about a significant stake of Enic Sports & Developments Holdings Ltd – which has an nearly 87 percent shareholding in the club.

Levy was the the league's longest-serving chairman and is reported to have received over £50 million during his long tenure in the capacity.

However he was also the focus of ongoing dissent by Spurs fans, especially last term as domestic league results were below expectations.

Spurs claimed their major honor in 17 years when they defeated United in the May European final.
